This is the
electronic/fax/internet
version of our normal paper catalogue. Some changes have been effected
so as to save file space and transfer/download time. Most illustrations
and logos for example have been removed. Although it is not in the
easiest
form to read, hopefully it will still bring you the information you
need.
We have recently changed our computer system, so some features are
slightly different from earlier versions - for example "þ" is appearing in place of the "þ"
symbol which indicates that early viewing is available on auction
day.
The sale is arranged in
the following
order; Lots 1-73 Collections and Mixed Lots Lots 74-81 Literature and Supplies Lots 82-89 Non-Philatelic Items Lots 90-370 Lots by country A-Z, excluding U.K. Lots 371-431 United Kingdom |

The figure at the end of each description is our estimate, in pounds sterling. Bids are accepted above or below this figure, although bids below about 75% or 80% estimate only have a tiny chance of success. Estimates are in Pounds Sterling do not include the 10% buyer's premium.
After the main listings you will find various information and instructions. This is followed by a sample bid form, and a copy of the the notes that appear on the reverse of our bid forms.
This is a public auction, in which written/telephone/fax/e-mail bids are also accepted. If you are bidding with us for the first time, please bid by two of these methods with the same bids (e.g. by post and by fax, or by telephone and by e-mail), or bid in good enough time for us to get back in touch with you with any queries.
NEW BIDDERS; Please note that bidders who are not already known to us are required to bid in the first instance by two different methods. The options available are email, telephone, fax, or post. New customers attending one of our sales in person for the first time, and intending to bid, are invited to make themselves known before the sale starts. This saves the auctioneer from having to ask for a name during the sale. |

by
telephone, fax or email. Please always use first class post for sending

**The notes on the reverse of the
Bid Form form part of our terms of business - please read from time

€uro Currency; We are now happy to accept Euro cash payments in our shop. We display our rate beside the counter. You can also pay for auction lots in Euro banknotes (postal customers please confirm before sending). We cannot yet take auction bids or cheques in Euros.
If you are giving us your credit card details to pay for any
purchases,
please remember to include the “Security Code” (the last three black
digits
printed on the signature strip).
We list here our normal bid steps for your information. This may be of help to bidders who are unable to attend the sale, as any written bids received which do not fit our normal pattern would usually be taken down to the next normal step. (We keep to these increments as much as possible, but do sometimes change if circumstances make it desirable.) Up to £20, bids are in £1 steps. From £20 to £30, bids are in £2 steps. From £30 to £50, bids are in £2 or £3 steps (i.e. £30, £32, £35, £38, £40, £42, £45, £48, £50). From £50 to £100 in £5 steps. From £100 to £200, bids are in £10 steps. From £200 to £300, bids are in £20 steps. From £300 to £500, bids are in £20 or £30, and above this in 5% to 10% steps. Abbreviations; a list of abbreviations and
symbols
used is from time to time included in the auction catalogue. We suggest
that you keep a copy for future reference. :indicates that an image of the item can be seen on the internet at www.stamp-shop.com/images.html
