This is the electronic/fax/internet version of our normal paper catalogue. Some changes have been effected so as to save file space and transfer/download time. Most illustrations and logos for example have been removed. Although it is not in the easiest form to read, hopefully it will still bring you the information you need. (The first few lots have been tidied up to nearer their original style just to give you a better impression.)

The sale is arranged in the following order;
    Lots 1-107 Collections and Mixed Lots
    Lots 108-123 Literature and Supplies
    Lots 124-187 Non-Philatelic Items
    Lots 188-425 Lots by country A-Z, excluding U.K.
    Lots 426-560 United Kingdom
If you are new to our auctions, please see our general auction information page.

The figure at the end of each description is our estimate, in pounds sterling. Bids are accepted above or below this figure, although bids below about 75% or 80% estimate only have a tiny chance of success.

After the main listings you will find various information and instructions. This is followed by a sample bid form, and a copy of the the notes that appear on the reverse of our bid forms.

This is a public auction, in which written/telephone/fax/e-mail bids are also accepted. If you are bidding with us for the first time, please bid by two of these methods with the same bids (e.g. by post and by fax, or by telephone and by e-mail), or bid in good enough time for us to get back in touch with you with any queries.

NEW BIDDERS;
Please note that bidders who are not already known to us are required to bid in the first instance by two different methods. The options available are email, telephone, fax, or post.
New customers attending one of our sales in person for the first time, and intending to bid, are invited to make themselves known before the sale starts. This saves the auctioneer from having to ask for a name during the sale.

                                                                                                                        Estimate (pounds sterling)

 1   Ideal Album with stamps from early to 1914-15. Album in decent used condition, containing
      about 3,500 stamps. Although a remainder collection, there are many useful stamps to be seen
      (it would appear that the collection has been picked and added to). Commonwealth is clearly
      stronger than Foreign, and includes many stamps catalogued in pounds, and some in 10s
      (e.g. Canada 1897 c, 5c, 10c u., 2c m.m., Cayman 1935-36 short set to 2/- m.m., Gold Coast,

      value is in Commonwealth, where there is Australia 1935 Jubilee 2/- fair used pair, Canada
      1864 2c g.u., UK 1840 1d black (4-margin), other reasonable UK, and other useful odds
      throughout. Foreign, while of less value, still shows good coverage. (1,000s, some covers)       ..        ..          80.
 4     Small box with an accum./stock in packets and on stockcards of many world countries.
      Although nothing seen of high value, little is the material most commonly seen, and most

 5     World remainder colln. in old Whitfield King Standard album. Commonwealth and selected

OUR CHARGES; We will be revising our auction charges during the summer break. Rather than just an inflation adjustment it is possible that we will step back and look afresh at the whole structure of our charges to buyers and sellers alike. Our current charges are on the whole considerably lower that the average in the auction market, and we know that our service compares well. We intend to maintain competitive rates and at the same time enhance some of our services.

CREDIT CARDS

In order to deal with postal clients, our bid forms have been designed to make space for credit card instructions. If you want your purchases charged in this way, please complete the appropriate section.
Do not complete these details unless you want to pay by credit card, and to have the lots posted.
As is standard practice among most auctioneers selling goods on commission, we are not in a position to absorb the bank charges for this service ourselves, and therefore all accounts paid by credit card will be charged 1.9% extra. Switch and Delta payments will be subject to an 18p charge per transaction. On accounts for 20+ paid by Switch or Delta we will normally waive this charge.

lot entry fee, and 10% commission on sales (1% optional insurance).
All sorts of things sell well - single stamps, sets, country collections, empty albums, mixed boxes,
