This is the electronic/fax/internet version of our normal paper catalogue. Some changes have been effected so as to save file space and transfer/download time. Most illustrations and logos for example have been removed. Although it is not in the easiest form to read, hopefully it will still bring you the information you need. (The first few lots have been tidied up to nearer their original style just to give you a better impression.)

The sale is arranged in the following order;
    Lots 1-90 Collections and Mixed Lots
    Lots 91-197 Literature
    Lots 198-205 Supplies
    Lots 206-219 Non-Philatelic Items
    Lots 220-426 Lots by country A-Z, excluding U.K.
    Lots 427-560 United Kingdom
If you are new to our auctions, please see our general auction information page.

The figure at the end of each description is our estimate, in pounds sterling. Bids are accepted above or below this figure, although bids below about 75% or 80% estimate only have a tiny chance of success. Estimates do not include the 10% buyer's premium.

After the main listings you will find various information and instructions. This is followed by a sample bid form, and a copy of the the notes that appear on the reverse of our bid forms.

This is a public auction, in which written/telephone/fax/e-mail bids are also accepted. If you are bidding with us for the first time, please bid by two of these methods with the same bids (e.g. by post and by fax, or by telephone and by e-mail), or bid in good enough time for us to get back in touch with you with any queries.

NEW BIDDERS;
Please note that bidders who are not already known to us are required to bid in the first instance by two different methods. The options available are email, telephone, fax, or post.
New customers attending one of our sales in person for the first time, and intending to bid, are invited to make themselves known before the sale starts. This saves the auctioneer from having to ask for a name during the sale.

Collections and Mixed Lots.
                                                                                                                        Estimate (pounds sterling)

1     An enormous accumulation with masses of world stamps. Some are in packets (sometimes
      a variety, sometimes quantities of one stamp), old shop packets, a box of world miniature
      sheets (usually u.m., often duplicated), old approval books, some sheets of Canada u.m. and
      USSR c.t.o., album pages, other stock material, much USA of all periods, a number of USA
      year packs, largely mint Commonwealth on stockleaves, and much more. There is much that
      is common, but many are also less common.
      This lot fills six moderately-sized cartons. We could probably sort it into at least a hundred
      separate auction lots, but time prevents us. (Many 1,000s)              ..         ..          ..        £400 to £700.
 2     Cardboard box with most material sorted in files. Scores of album pages, stockleaves, and
      others roughly sorted alphabetically. Not a standard mix, with some unusual areas included,
      and many worthwhile items (i.e. worth pounds individually) spotted. Should be an interesting
      sort. (1,000s)          ..             ..             ..             ..             ..             ..            ..            ..             £120.

      of Commonwealth with some reasonable Newfoundland, some Africa, etc.; and various
      others, loose, junior album.             ..             ..             ..             ..             ..             ..                £100.
 4     Large box with most value in two albums (one of Commonwealth, the other foreign), but also
      with numerous other world stamps in junior albums, stockbooks of duplicates, on pages, a
      few Canadian year packs, etc. (1,000s)             ..             ..             ..             ..             ..            £90.
 5     Box with 20 remainder club exchange books, from a Dutch source, with all-world stamps but
      with a definite strength in Netherlands, plus other Europe, UK and Commonwealth, etc.
      (1,000s). Remains stated to be priced approx.NFl.1,000.              ..             ..             ..            £75.

This is a longer auction than normal. If attending in person;
Please prepare your bids in advance, please bid clearly – an indication that you are dropping out of the bidding is helpful. With a little help from you, and some effort from ourselves, we can get through the sale by about 9.45pm

 6     Quite well-filled medium apple box with 100s of packets of world stamps. Most is common,
      but many are one level up from commonest, and little after about 1950s/60s (many 1,000s)     50.

CREDIT CARDS

We are happy to accept MasterCard and Visa credit card payments, as well as payments by Switch and Delta. This facility can be used by room purchasers (who pay their accounts at the auction), by other local customers (who pay their bill in our shop), and by postal buyers.
In order to deal with postal clients, our bid forms have been designed to make space for credit card instructions. If you want your purchases charged in this way, please complete the appropriate section.
Do not complete these details unless you want to pay by credit card, and to have the lots posted.

We have negotiated good rates with our bank, and are able to absorb the bank charges for this service ourselves, and therefore there is no additional charge for the use of this facility, as long as postal bidders give us their details in advance of posting. Only for postal buyers where card details are given after posting, we will charge 1.9% extra (Visa/MasterCard) or 18p (Switch and Delta), plus cost of posting receipt slip.
