These are high quality, high magnification, fold-away lenses, excellent for looking at small detail.
I have, and regularly use, one of the 20x achromatic magnifiers listed here, and it has been doing good service for close to fifty years !
These are Japanese made and of high optical standards.
Please note that when using strong magnifiers you will only have a very small field of vision. If you want to see more at one time you need to use a weaker magnifier. (There are some lenses available which combine high power and larger size, but they are very expensive.)
When using these you have to get very close in to the subject - there should be a small distance between the subject and the lens, and again from the lens to your eye.
We bought a large stock of these some years ago, and have the remainder to sell. Our current prices are lower than our retail prices in 2010 !
Note that the illustrations do not show the magnification, as the magnifying glasses were photographed while sitting on a backing.
