FROM THIS AUCTION
(available about 24 hours
after catalogue is posted)

This is the electronic/fax/internet version of our normal paper catalogue. Some changes have been effected so as to save file space and transfer/download time. Most illustrations and logos for example have been removed. Although it is not in the easiest form to read, hopefully it will still bring you the information you need. (The first few lots have been tidied up to nearer their original style just to give you a better impression.)

The sale is arranged in the following order;
    Lots 1-61 Collections and Mixed Lots
    Lots 62-98 Literature and Supplies
    Lots 99-147 Non-Philatelic Items
    Lots 148-445 Lots by country A-Z, excluding U.K.
    Lots 446-489 United Kingdom

The figure at the end of each description is our estimate, in pounds sterling. Bids are accepted above or below this figure, although bids below about 75% or 80% estimate only have a tiny chance of success.

After the main listings you will find various information and instructions. This is followed by a sample bid form, and a copy of the the notes that appear on the reverse of our bid forms.

This is a public auction, in which written/telephone/fax/e-mail bids are also accepted. If you are bidding with us for the first time, please bid by two of these methods with the same bids (e.g. by post and by fax, or by telephone and by e-mail), or bid in good enough time for us to get back in touch with you with any queries.

NEW BIDDERS;
Please note that bidders who are not already known to us are required to bid in the first instance by two different methods. The options available are email, telephone, fax, or post.
New customers attending one of our sales in person for the first time, and intending to bid, are invited to make themselves known before the sale starts. This saves the auctioneer from having to ask for a name during the sale.

Collections and Mixed Lots.
                                                                                                                        Estimate (pounds sterling)

 1   An enormous accumulation in one large carton and a medium box. Consists of world stamps
      in 13 various stockbooks and albums (plus some smaller stockbooks), thousands upon
      thousands of stamps in packets (some is cheap bulk, but we see a run of packets of mint sets),
      a small stock of Korea, further world mixes on hundreds of black stockcards, several medium
      envelopes each containing a selection of odds/packets/sets etc., some quantities of Germany
      (mixed ages), and so on. The lot includes very few covers, only a small amount of stamps on-
      paper, and nothing which could be described as “make-weight” material. Super lot for a
      collector with wide tastes plus the space and time, or for an approval dealer, club-book-
      maker, or the like.         ..         ..         ..        ..        ..        ..        ..        ..         ..        ..         ..           £400 to £600.
 2     The regular clear-out of our shop’s charity box. All sorts of things handed in to us – at the
      time of writing we have not dug it all out, and this is a lot that really needs to be viewed in
